The year is 2040. Meat from the laboratory and the never-ending search for plant-based meat substitutes have slowly but surely brought conventional sausage production to a standstill. How realistic is this vision of the future and what will our kitchen look like “the day after tomorrow”?
Will we only be left with the memory of the former sausage in 2040? In its own intestine it was formed into rings, dried or smoked and allowed to colonize our bread as a meaty slice.
