In the Christmas bakery
Are the cookies that we cut
First on the oven trays
Let’s wait anxiously

We also waited a little too long to publish our article. But what the heck, after all, the main thing about Christmas is something completely different. Nevertheless, we still have sweet memories of our cookie baking campaign last December, which we are happy to share with you even after Christmas:
13 kids from the Arche baked in the children’s kitchen in Bornheim!
Equipped with self-painted baking hats, under the guidance of three friendly chefs and with what felt like unlimited energy and joy, the kids got to work on a colorful mix of cookies … From heavenly delicious butter cookies in chocolate and natural, to classic coconut chestnuts and the simple but beloved chocolate crossies, we baked countless great Christmas cookies together.
Special highlights: snacking on dough, of course, decorating cookies, eating chocolate icing, spontaneously singing “In the Christmas bakery” together, joking around with the professionals from the children’s kitchen …
“Do you know what these cookies are called?” – “I think coconut macaroni or something …”
After three fun-filled and turbulent hours, each child was allowed to take home a bag full of cookies and was spontaneously surprised with a delicious pizza before heading home. After all, hearty food is not to be sneezed at, especially when you’re feeling peckish π
