Bioplastic From Eggshells

Replacing Conventional Plastics

Ecoshell offers an eggshell material product known as Ecoshell bio-calcium. Ecoshell claims it can replace up to 50% of the plastic content in a variety of products, such as packaging materials, consumer goods, and containers. It is compatible with multiple types of plastics, including polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and bioplastics. 

The material can be utilized in various manufacturing processes, including film blowing, blow molding, and injection molding. Ecoshell bio-calcium holds numerous SGS certificaitions and is EN 13430 certified for recyclability. Incorporating the material into manufacturing processes is claimed to the potential reduction of carbon emissions by up to 70% compared to using virgin plastics.
