With“Käffchen”, we have developed the first own brand in the coffee sector for Schäfer – Dein Bäcker, one of Germany’s most modern artisan bakeries.

Käffchen – Cheeky in look, strong in taste.
Our challenge: the new coffee brand should not only look really good behind the counter, but also be so visually strong and eye-catching that every Schäfer customer wants to pick up a bag straight away. This not only works very well because of the catchy brand name, the fine Arabica coffee also impresses with its full-bodied taste. The hand-illustrated, detailed design makes the matt 1 kg stand-up pouches a real eye-catcher and charmingly whets the appetite for the next cup.

At the center of the design: a small, cheeky monkey happily tossing a coffee cup into the air. The stylized illustration is lovingly hand-drawn – simple, rustic, but high-quality. The little monkey is the friendly face of the brand that immediately catches the eye and stays in the memory.


The monkey’s surroundings are characterized by organic shapes: tropical jungle leaves, hints of coffee beans and graphic details merge to create a lively scene. The white-on-color contrasts ensure clarity and modernity, while the illustrations simultaneously radiate naturalness and originality. The reduced color palette has a sophisticated effect, while the look remains high-quality and authentic.
- Caffè Crema – in strong red: mild, round, always just right. The red bag signals warmth, enjoyment and emotion.
- Espresso – in deep black: intense, aromatic, full of character. The black look stands for intense aroma and strong taste.
The colors not only serve to identify the varieties, but also provide emotional support for the respective flavors.
